About My Animal Journal

My Animal Journal is a web service for pet owners who want one clear place to document and manage their animals. The purpose of this site is to put the animal’s data at the centre: we focus on the animal, not on the user. You choose what personal data to provide; by registering and entering your details, you give your consent for us to process that data in accordance with the GDPR.

We do not emphasise your profile as a user. The essential content is your animals’ information—their identity, health events, diary, calendar and documents. It is your choice to fill in your own details, and in doing so you give your consent for that data to be processed in line with applicable data protection law.

Information

My Animal Journal does not intend to sell your data to third parties or to use it for marketing analysis or profiling. We do not pass on your or your animals’ data for commercial purposes.

Any analysis we carry out is limited to operational, non-personal statistics—for example, counting how many animals of a given breed exist in each category—to improve the service. We do not use your data for behavioural analysis or advertising.

We aim for this website to require as little administration from us as possible. Day-to-day administration is in your hands: you manage your animals, events, diary and calendar. We maintain the platform and its security so that you can use it with confidence.

We continuously develop new features and improvements so that My Animal Journal becomes the one place you need for your animals. Development is ongoing and we strive to respond to the needs of pet owners.

We welcome questions and suggestions from users. If you are missing a function or have ideas for improvements, please contact us. Your feedback helps us prioritise what to build next.

The website is not free to run or develop. To cover costs and keep the service sustainable, we charge a small subscription fee for full access to all features. This allows us to maintain and improve My Animal Journal over time.

If you no longer wish to be a member and want your data deleted, please contact us at support@myanimaljournal.com. After we have verified your identity, we will delete all your data in accordance with your right to erasure under the GDPR. We do not retain your personal or animal data after deletion except where we are legally required to do so.

6. Payments and payment information

The website does not store card details or other sensitive payment information such as card numbers, CVC codes or full payment credentials.

Such data is handled solely by the payment provider in accordance with their own security and privacy policies.

The website may, however, store limited transaction information, for example:

  • Transaction ID
  • Payment status
  • Date and time of payment
  • Which service or subscription the payment relates to

This information is stored only to:

  • Verify that a payment has been completed
  • Handle support and invoicing enquiries
  • Comply with accounting and legal requirements
